At Pekin Methodist Church, we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for a service, and we want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Here’s what you can expect at Pekin Methodist Church. At 9:00AM, we offer two Sunday morning worship options for adults as well as a children’s Sunday School class. Our regular church service will begin at 10:00AM.
Our church is located at 244 S Shorts Corner Road in Pekin Indiana. If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.
Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church, for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. You don't need to dress up to get his approval, that comes through Jesus' sacrifice. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress. While a few people in the church wear ties, others don’t. Shorts are as welcome as suits, and you may see both.
When you walk in, you’ll find our greeters in the foyer area in front of the welcome desk. Please introduce yourself as we’re happy to see you. They'll be able to help you find the nursery and Sunday school rooms if you bring children. Our greeters can also point you to the restrooms, sanctuary and fellowship area. Our greeters will be glad to answer any questions that you may have. If you liked the service and/or would like to learn more, please feel free to fill out a Connection Card. These can be found either at our welcome desk or in the back of a pew in the sanctuary. This simply asks for your name and contact information.
After the service, Pastor Christopher likes to greet everyone that attended the service. If you filled out a connection card, this would be an excellent time to introduce yourself and give your connection card to Pastor Christopher. We'd love to get to know you so you're a familiar face the next time you attend. We hope to see you Sunday.
